about a girl who came back home, despite not knowing she had a home, and the people who waited for her, despite not knowing her yet.

Noelle Ansley, 14 years old.

Born in a family of four and taken away while still a baby, Noelle was raised by her stepmother, Colette, in an overly protective manner. Despite her albino nature and what Colette tried to convince everyone, she would've been a pretty normal kid. As she didn't know better, she let her mother take care of her as she pleased, no matter how extreme she would take things. In order to prevent Noelle from being found, Colette changed her name to Wendy, shaved her brows, and kept her inside most of the time, only allowing her to meet people when she could take advantage of it (asking for money or free stuff as she had a "very fragile kid to take care of all by herself"). As soon as people started to realize how weird it was that Colette was the "mother" of such a peculiar kid, they would move to another place. She had a pretty lonely childhood, and as she grew older, things started to get more abusive. Noelle was curious about many things—her family, her own body, the outside. Every time she asked for something that Colette didn't like, she would be drugged in order to stay somnolent for many days. This escalated until Colette attempted a murder-suicide. Luckily, Noelle was found and rescued on time; Colette, however, was found dead. She was taken back to the only family member remaining, her older brother, Clyde Ansley, who was 24 years old at the time. They were pretty distant at first; he found himself calling her a "ghost" many times as her presence wasn't that prominent, This was a result of Noelle having no communication with anyone besides her mother.Clyde and her began to reconnect as she made progress and felt more comfortable communicating. He was the main reason she started to feel better and went back to being a happy child, despite the aftermath that Colette left in both of them.Noelle is a pretty quiet girl; she doesn't speak that much but will show enthusiasm in different ways, such as with handmade gifts or actions. She's more expressive in text; she keeps a diary and has many pen pals, as well as being active in internet forums or chats about her interests (all with the supervision of Clyde). She's pretty afraid of older women and intimidated by older men; she will only talk to them if absolutely necessary. As a result of being forced to use a wheelchair by Colette and having her limbs broken by her before she left, her walk is a bit awkward, and she can't run that much.

Theo Dyer, 29 years old.

The second one in a family of three, the only son, Theo grew up in a pretty normal household. He would usually spend time with his father or other friends, not being completely distant from her sisters but also not being that close, as they would usually hang out between them. He seemed to be a pretty social guy, but still spent some of his free time online. He started to develop a weird liking for true crime and other violent themes on the internet. When his father died, and as a result of being the only son who didn't have a family yet, he had to stay with his mother to take care of her. He would only come closer to her if she got sick or if she asked him to. He knew she would've preferred if any of his sisters took care of her, but that didn't mean he was going to neglect her.He kept going with his studies, and was getting closer and closer to leaving for university. At the time, he noticed that one of the girls he had seen on one of these true-crime blogs was brought back into the conversation. The reason? She had been rescued.Even more weird is that she was going to live really close to his house. He wasn't that interested in her case before she was found, as it wasn't violent in nature, but when she came back and the news spread around he started to look around for her online and offline. He read every detail, every article, saw every photo, and participated in a lot of discussions about it, so the next step was meeting her.It took a bit too long, but he ended up teaching her the basics and getting her ready for school via the Internet, as she never got an education while being with her captor. Her brother, Clyde, trusted his teaching as he had helped him with his studies before. He only managed to talk to her online, and while he did meet her before he moved out of the city for his studies, she didn't recognize him, because she had never seen a photo of him.Theo's mom moved with the older sister, and when he was done with his studies, he came back to their old house. He had forgotten about Noelle in the meantime, as he was living a fairly normal life that kept him occupied from his strange online habits, but when he saw her again, the obsession returned to him.

Theo is a social guy, who, at first glance, seems pretty normal. A bit of a joker with a contagious laugh, he even seems to have a sort of charm. But deep down, there's just something wrong with him, and it eventually shows as he can't always hide it. That is, making inappropriate comments, laughing in serious situations, or not laughing when someone tells a joke. He's obsessive when nobody is watching. Since being a grownup and trying to date other girls, he felt that he wasn't fully attracted to them. When he started fixating on Noelle he started to think that maybe it was the age, and she was not only the girl who made him realize that, but also the perfect target. He would still hang out with women his age, as it is easier to pretend he's actually normal.

Clyde Ansley, 26 years old

The older brother. He was still a kid when his father was still alive, and he has fond memories of him. He felt like his childhood was perfect and he couldn't be happier with his family, even if Colette wasn't his biological mother he was genuinely happy with her, especially seeing how happy she made his father. However, as soon as Colette abandoned him after his dad passed away, he had to mature pretty early in life.Clyde started working and living on the streets, as he hadn't  met a lot of his relatives. He would take help from time to time, but wanted to grow as independent as he could be, even if it meant it could be hard, as he was deeply afraid of being abandoned again. He soon met Noah, whose family tried to help him as much as they could. However, as Noah was growing tired of his family, they moved out together as soon as they could.Clyde never searched for Noelle, as his priorities went toward his own survival, and, even if Noelle came back, he couldn't take care of her, and she would've still been taken away. He even believed she was already dead, so, when the news came that she was found, he was pretty shocked.Luckily, he was in a decent place in life to get her back, but he was still so distant from her that he didn't treat her like his sister. Eventually they connected, but it was a hard process.

Clyde understands that he had a pretty nice childhood but a hard adolescence, and Noelle had a bad childhood. Now that he's a grownup and Noelle is entering puberty, he's trying to give her the best life he can. Despite his indifference to her before and after she returned, he is the most loving brother and person she knows. Seeing her make such progress makes him really proud. Some people even mistake her for her daughter, which he thinks is pretty funny.Clyde is a bit serious and quiet when first meeting him, and despite not growing up together, they both seem pretty similar in their mannerisms. He's the kind of guy that would make a joke, and you'd think he was serious because he's not laughing, and he thinks that's pretty funny. He's really playful with Noelle and somewhat of a housewife. He can be very protective of her because he doesn't want to lose her again now that he has her back.

Colette, 39 years old.

Nobody can quite tell what was wrong with Colette; at the moment she met Logan Ansley she was already far from home. Everyone believes she snapped when Logan passed away, but nobody can explain why she took the kid away and why she tried to kill her when she was rescued. Her body was found just a few miles away from the hotel where she abandoned Noelle, with a gunshot wound to her head. The photo of her dead body went viral on the internet for shock value, but thankfully, Noelle never saw it.Noelle feels guilty for abandoning her mom, for leaving her behind, for not feeling sorry for her death, but also for missing her so much sometimes.

out of time

"I'm running out of time, 'cause I can see the sun light up the sky".

"Papi", 32 years old, is a nobody who owes money to the wrong kind of people. He knows that his life has no meaning and that he only lives for the fact that he has to pay, or else, he'll die painfully, probably tortured. He's thinking of leaving on his own terms, but he never really decides when."Saoko", a "35 years old" in the body of a 14 years old, is a stripper owned by the very same people Papi owes money to. She knows she attracts the wrong kind of people because of her appearance, so she takes advantage of it.They both met each other as he tried to protect her from a club fight, getting her hurt in the process. She tells him to fuck off, so later, when she approaches him, he's pretty surprised. As the night progresses, they notice that they might be running out of time, both for different reasons. He also realizes that she is a vampire and that, out of the two, he's the one in more danger.Saoko, despite her younger looks, is a pretty violent person, often pretty messy, especially when she eats. She clearly acts older than she looks. Out of the two, she's the one who wants to keep living the most.Papi is an addict in recovery, so his blood tastes pretty good for her. She also thinks his attempts to protect her are pathetic at first but endearing. He denies any attraction to her because of her young appearance and claims that his protectiveness is paternal in nature. They both attracted of each other, but they both denied it.The whole story happens in just one night, so I didn't give them names because they are nobodies, and they often have the same messy looks in their art.
